Sienna Rose, a singer widely believed to be AI-generated, has surged on Spotify, attracting nearly 3 million monthly listeners and even drawing attention from celebrities online.
AI is becoming a bigger force in the creative world, moving beyond image generation into music. As a result, real artists are increasingly competing with AI-made songs on platforms like Spotify and TikTok, where it’s often hard for listeners to tell what’s real and what isn’t.
The rise of AI musicians isn’t new. Xania Monet, an AI project created by poet Telisha Jones, became one of the first to break into the mainstream after landing a multimillion-dollar record deal. Now, Sienna Rose appears to be following a similar path.
Her breakout began in mid-2025, when her songs started spreading across Spotify and social media. By January 2026, Rose had placed three tracks on Spotify’s Viral 50 USA chart, with her biggest hit, Into the Blue, reaching the top ten. Her growing audience reportedly includes actress Selena Gomez, who shared one of Rose’s songs in a social media post.
Unlike some AI artists, Rose’s profile doesn’t clearly state that she’s artificial. However, her Spotify page links to another act, Let Babylon Burn, which openly admits to using AI in its music. That connection has fueled speculation that Rose is also powered by artificial intelligence.
Fans have also noticed signs on her social media that raise questions about her authenticity — from unusual visual details in photos to follower numbers that don’t match her massive streaming success. Some listeners even claim to hear small “glitches” in her tracks that sound more machine-made than human.
As AI artists continue to gain traction, the line between human and synthetic performers is becoming harder to see — and Sienna Rose may be the clearest example yet of how fast that shift is happening.
