By total area, it’s officially the largest shopping centre in the world, covering about 1,124,000 m² (12.1 million ft²).
And the foot traffic is on the same scale: Dubai Mall drew a record 105 million visitors in 2023, which is why you constantly hear “over 100 million a year.”
That number makes more sense when you realize what it includes. This isn’t “shops and food court.” It’s 1,200+ retail outlets, huge dining zones, and entertainment built to keep people there for hours, not minutes.
It sits in Downtown Dubai, next to Burj Khalifa, which turns it into a default stop for tourists and locals alike.
Even the growth is tracked like a major attraction, not a regular mall. In the first half of 2024 alone, it recorded 57 million visitors, up from 52 million in the same period the year before.
