Elon Musk had dinner with Donald Trump during a high-pressure weekend for the president, as meetings unfolded at Mar-a-Lago and the administration announced a U.S. military operation in Venezuela.
Musk shared on X that he enjoyed “a lovely dinner” with Trump and Melania Trump, adding that “2026 is going to be amazing.” Photos showed the trio seated together Saturday evening at Mar-a-Lago, according to Fox News.
The dinner came as Trump said the U.S. had captured Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, a move that drew swift international reaction.
The meeting also signals a thaw after a public rift last year. Musk and Trump’s relationship cooled amid policy disputes and sharp exchanges online, including Musk’s criticism of Trump’s legislation and Trump’s threats to review government contracts tied to Musk’s companies.
