A man in Libya has captured online attention after a shipment of Nokia phones he ordered in 2010 finally arrived in 2026, more than a decade later. Images and videos shared on social media show unopened boxes of classic Nokia handsets, still sealed in their original packaging.

The order was reportedly placed before Libya’s civil war erupted in 2011, a conflict that severely disrupted shipping, infrastructure, and international trade. At the time, commercial delivery routes were relatively stable, but as fighting intensified and borders closed, many imports were delayed, misplaced, or left in long-term storage—including this shipment.

According to NDTV, both the sender and recipient were located just a few kilometers apart in Tripoli. The delivery resurfaced unexpectedly in 2026, with footage showing the recipient opening the boxes in visible disbelief. The video has since spread widely online, despite lacking captions or an official translation, and features older Nokia models known for their durability and long battery life.

While smartphones from Apple and Samsung now dominate the market, Nokia continues to sell budget devices under HMD, which announced plans in 2024 to revive the classic Nokia 3210.
