Social media star Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson has revealed that his favorite YouTube video isn’t one of his own.
With tens of millions of videos on the platform, most people have at least one they love to revisit—whether for humor, nostalgia, or inspiration. Despite dominating YouTube in recent years and spending millions on large-scale productions across his channels, MrBeast says his top pick comes from another creator.
During an interview with WIRED for its “Answers the Web’s Most Searched Questions” series, Donaldson said his favorite video belongs to Technoblade, a Minecraft creator known for his humor and competitive challenges.
MrBeast singled out Technoblade’s Skyblock: The Great Potato War, a video documenting an over-the-top attempt to farm the most potatoes on a server. He joked that the choice might sound strange to non-Minecraft fans but praised Technoblade’s charisma and comedic timing, calling the video “so funny.”
The video has accumulated nearly 56 million views over six years, with many viewers noting they discovered it after MrBeast mentioned it. Donaldson added that he re-watches the video about once a year and finds it consistently inspirational.
