A Nigerian woman has earned another Guinness World Record after creating a wig taller than a three-storey building.

Helen Williams, a professional wig maker, officially set the record for the tallest wig ever made. The enormous hairpiece reached 15.37 meters (50.42 feet) from the top of her head, towering over nearby buildings.

This milestone marks Williams’ third wig-related world record. She already holds titles for the world’s longest handmade wig and the widest wig ever created.

According to Guinness World Records, the wig stood higher than the building beside which Williams posed and was even wider than the Hollywood sign. Her previous records include a handmade wig measuring 351.28 meters (1,152 feet) in length and another spanning 3.65 meters (nearly 12 feet) in width.

Williams said she has no plans to stop pushing limits, comparing record-breaking to climbing a mountain — difficult and exhausting, but rewarding at the summit. She added that each achievement reinforces her belief that nothing is impossible.

She described the tallest wig as her most challenging project yet. Months of work went into the final version, following an earlier test attempt that failed and forced her to redesign the structure from scratch. After refining the design, she began the official attempt months later — and this time, everything came together successfully.
